One day I built a boat.
And then I took it for a float.
I rowed it up a stream,
And rode it down again.
The boat was long as I am tall.
And had two rooms, a porch and hall.
The roof was high as I could see,
And how it sailed upon the sea!
Soaring high o’er cloud and moon,
I sailed the world, got home by noon.
I sat in the kitchen sipping soup,
Admiring the lines of my new sloop.
I’ll soon return to ride the seas,
Face in the wind, cold salty breeze.
I’ll fight any pirates that dare attack,
But now I need my daily nap.
